Meditation & Pranayama *Free Community Class*

Lilli will guide you into a comfortable meditation seat where we will practice refining our breathing ability and awareness of the flow of prana or energy in the body, before settling into a guided meditation.

The practice will last about 45 minutes, after which I hope that you will feel grounded, calm and refreshed.

Please wear comfortable, loose clothing and have a cushion, folded blanket or chair to sit on. You may choose to have your back supported, either with a wall or pillow behind your back in a chair, with your head free.

Once you register, you will expect to receive the Zoom details to access the live class within 1 week of the scheduled class and a reminder the day before.

Partner Thai Massage Workshop @ In Fine Feather Yoga

Thai massage is a great way to connect to your partner, friend, or family member and anyone can learn this healing therapy. Traditional Thai massage works primarily with the energetic body using manual manipulation combined with acupressure, gentle stretching and muscular kneading. By stimulating the bodies lines of energy or Prana (life force), we can help break up blockages in tissues or organs to stimulate free flow of Prana and help to restore general wellbeing.

During this workshop, your guide Lilli Markle, will demonstrate how to safely give basic thai massage techniques from a meditative place of loving kindness. This fun practice will leave you in a state of blissful flow, connection and warmth. We invite you to stay and enjoy food and drink pairings after your massage.

Thai massage is practiced on a soft surface on the floor. Each person is required to bring a blanket.

About your host:

Lilli Markle, a Canadian-raised citizen of the globe, has been a student of yoga, meditation and bodywork for 10 years and a teacher for five.

She holds a degree in Business and Cultural Management from the University of Waterloo and has worked in various fields, including tech, government agencies, performing arts non-profits, real estate and most recently as a wellness and business development consultant.

Lilli is a 200hr Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with multiple designations in various movement, meditation and healing modalities, including certifications in Thai Massage and Ayurvedic Bodywork through the Sunshine Network, Integrative Restoration (iRest), Franklin Method and Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis. Finding her way into the wellness field in 2008 as a recovering ballet dancer, Lilli discovered how these practices brought a new found awareness, healing and curiosity surrounding her body and mind.

She has been a featured guest at business and wellness events as well as on panels and podcasts and continues to find ways to share her passion and wisdom for community building and the healing arts.

Lilli teaches public and private meditation as well as hatha, vinyasa, restorative and yin yoga in the Greater Golden Horseshoe region and surrounding NYC area. She is excited to be offering her wisdom and passion at Cedar Healing Arts!

Restorative Yoga + Thai Massage Workshop

End the month in absolute bliss.

We’ll tune into our nervous system, allowing mental, physical and emotional release to begin. Supported by props - bolsters, straps, blocks, blankets - you’ll settle into deep relaxation. We’ll hold poses longer than in a traditional flow class, but you’ll feel no strain or effort.

As you settle into your practice, our Thai massage practitioner will provide a gentle stretch of your arms and legs. Thai massage, also known as “lazy person’s yoga”, gives your body room to release and breathe. Some benefits of Thai Massage include muscular release and an increase of blood circulation in the body.

We’ll finish with a rewarding savasana and an optional head massage.

Accessible to all bodies. Comfortable, layered attire is recommended. Just bring your own body. We’ll provide the rest.

Cost is $25 for drop in or $5 top up for members and passes.

End the month in absolute bliss.

We’ll tune into our nervous system, allowing mental, physical and emotional release to begin. Supported by props - bolsters, straps, blocks, blankets - you’ll settle into deep relaxation. We’ll hold poses longer than in a traditional flow class, but you’ll feel no strain or effort.

As you settle into your practice, our Thai massage practitioner will provide a gentle stretch of your arms and legs. Thai massage, also known as “lazy person’s yoga”, gives your body room to release and breathe. Some benefits of Thai Massage include muscular release and an increase of blood circulation in the body.

We’ll finish with a rewarding savasana and an optional head massage.

Accessible to all bodies. Comfortable, layered attire is recommended. Just bring your own body. We’ll provide the rest.

Partner Thai Massage Workshop @ In Fine Feather Yoga

Thai massage is a great way to connect to your partner, friend, or family member and anyone can learn this healing therapy. Traditional Thai massage works primarily with the energetic body using manual manipulation combined with acupressure, gentle stretching and muscular kneading. By stimulating the bodies lines of energy or Prana (life force), we can help break up blockages in tissues or organs to stimulate free flow of Prana and help to restore general wellbeing.

During this workshop, your guide Lilli Markle, will demonstrate how to safely give basic thai massage techniques from a meditative place of loving kindness. This fun practice will leave you in a state of blissful flow, connection and warmth. We invite you to stay and enjoy food and drink pairings after your massage.

Thai massage is practiced on a soft surface on the floor. Each person is required to bring a blanket.

All levels, beginner friendly.

Calling all stretchy pants lovers! Join me for an afternoon of giving back and maybe even take home a fresh tank for your yoga wardrobe.

Cost: Suggested Donation $5.00
All proceeds going towards the Jump In Foundation.

We all have those tanks, T's and yoga pants we just aren't wearing anymore. So let's trade them in for something that feels like new- athletic wear only please! Bring in a bag or a few pieces of your gently used, clean athletic wear and see if you can find some 'new' gems to take home yourself! We will be opening up the studio for an afternoon of swapping yoga clothes. In the spirit of community, we are asking for a donation of $5.00 for the event.

All of the proceeds will be going towards a local charity, the Jump In Foundation. This organization is helping Ontario families living under the poverty line have access to physical education programs; families that otherwise might not have the opportunity to experience the physical and mental benefits of participating in sports and regular group physical activity.
